#34900 Need info to add or correct device driver problem. The system receives fine but does not transmit. It looks like the USB drivers load OK. Has anyone successfully gotten this equipment to function properly? |

#34903 If it's a SignaLink, you need a few things: toggle quoted messageShow quoted text1. The audio volume level turned up loud enough to trigger the VOX circuit that does PTT in the SignaLink. You can turn it down to what level your radio needs with the Tx knob. 2. The right jumpers and interface cable(s) to connect the SignaLink to your radio. 3. A USB port to plug the SignaLink into that has enough voltage for the PTT relay to actually activate. Yes, the SignaLink uses an actual mechanical relay, and I have seen cases where the USB voltage was low enough (typically on Raspberry Pi systems with undersized power supplies) that the PTT light would light but the relay wouldn't close. Hope this helps. #34912 That is not the case with the signallink. toggle quoted messageShow quoted textThe signal link takes the audio and then creates its own PTT from that. As long as you have the audio configured properly and driven loud enough, it should trip the PTT. It should show up as PCM2904 Audio Code Analog Stereo in pavucontrol. Signalink Usb Driver Windows 10 Dell
Before connecting the SignaLink to a new computer running Windows 10 - As with any operating system, be sure that your computer is fully updated BEFORE you plug in the SignaLink. Then, with the computer turned ON and sitting idle, plug the SignaLink directly into the computer (not a USB hub.) using the USB cable that we provided. The SignaLink USB attaches to the radio through an 8-pin RJ-45 connector located on the rear of the unit. A radio cable with the appropriate connector for your radio was supplied with the SignaLink USB for this purpose. One end of this cable plugs into the SignaLink’s “RADIO” connector. Do not connect a USB cable from your computer to the FT-991 until you load the drivers listed below. (See my comments above). Go to the Yaesu web site and download the drivers for the FT-991. The drivers you are looking for are the: FT-991/ SCU-17 USB Driver (Virtual COM Port Driver) (3.74 MB). Signalink - Windows 10 not installing USB Audio CODEC automatically So, I'm trying to setup my Signalink for the first time on my machine (Windows 10), but when I plug in the Signalink the USB Audio CODEC driver doesn't automatically install like the instructions say.
